Description
Meta Business Suite for desktop allows you to publish, schedule and manage all your content from on Facebook and Instagram.
Context
Meta Business Suite unifies Facebook and Instagram management. As one of five designers, I focused on redesigning the Insights dashboard to make campaign data feel actionable, streamline navigation, and bring robust A/B testing tools—and all of it needed to work smoothly on mobile.
Challenge
Users struggled to interpret crowded charts, spent extra clicks finding key metrics, couldn’t run experiments in real time, and had a poor mobile experience.
Process
We interviewed marketers and ran usability tests, learning that users wanted clear KPIs and faster experiment feedback. We benchmarked top analytics tools, sketched wireframes, built Figma prototypes, and iterated over two testing rounds. Weekly syncs with engineers flagged API limits early, so we switched to 15-minute data polling and added a “Last Updated” label.
Solution
Customizable Widgets: Drag-and-drop modules (e.g., Reach, ROI) that users can pin or collapse.
Intuitive Sidebar: A fixed menu surfaces “Campaign Performance,” “Audience Insights,” and “A/B Tests” within two clicks.
Real-Time A/B Panel: Live variant comparisons refresh every 15 minutes, cutting reliance on CSV exports.
Mobile-First Design: Fluid grids let core metrics collapse into a swipe-through “Top Metric” banner on phones.
Takeaway & Reflection
Simplifying to three core widgets cut task time by 18% and reduced cognitive load.
Early engineering involvement prevented costly rework when API constraints emerged.
Adding a “Save View” feature—requested by small agencies—led to 65% of power users bookmarking custom dashboards.
